I am available to lead self defense training for women, queers, and anti-state actors from the political left, one on one or in groups smaller then 25 people. My curriculum is built from experience as a trained, active fighter and coach and can be applied to single or recurring classes. I lead with and anti-oppression practice, encourage class members to articulate their needs and boundaries, and promote regular practice and exercise.

I'm a fighter because I fight. I have trained folkstyle wrestling, mma, krav maga, muay thai, and kickboxing, but my focus has been boxing. I have experience with ring fighting, as well as disorganized close combat.


  • 2012 -2016 Regularly trained as a boxer, sparing with other athletes, and amateurs.
  • 2010 - 2012 Contributed as a coach for a self defense class in Portland, OR. The weekly class focused on basic striking, blocking, and physical fitness. The class was unique from most gym environments because it was composed largely of women and queers from the radical left. We took time to check in with each other articulating our boundaries and limits with the rotation of partners.
  • 2000 - 2002 Regularly trained as a boxer, focusing on basic striking, defense, and physical fitness. Some sparring experience.
